“In the life of” is a series that SupportAsia have created to give our customers an in-depth look into the lives of those in our team. The unsung heroes who help support their lives every single day. First in our series, let us introduce you to Anita, our Trainer here at SupportAsia.

“Well my career in care started at the age of 15yrs old, I had work experience at school in a care home which I found really enjoyable and making people happy by caring and looking after them, helping them doing day to day things that they struggled with. I knew at this point that this is the field I want to work in and my career progressed in care from then.

I started working at Support Asia in 2012 as a domiciliary support worker, working with people from all different backgrounds and disabilities, which I thoroughly enjoyed. I had gained a lot of experience working with a lot of service user’s with different needs and enjoyed the short calls working from home to home as it gave me flexibility to work around my children who were young at that time.

I was offered a job as a Trainer in 2017, which I thought, was a great opportunity for me to train people with the experience I have had over the years in care. This is how I became a Trainer at Support Asia and I am hoping this continues for years to come as I really enjoy been a trainer.”
